Viewing The Needles from a boat.

The Isle of Wight is easy-as-pie to get to by car or train then passenger or car ferry (10–55 minutes, with some crossings by hovercraft or catamaran). Hourly fast trains run from London Waterloo to Portsmouth or Southampton in Hampshire.

Local bus services around the island are good in summer. This is also a popular destination for a family campervan or motorhoming holiday.
