Longstanding activity holiday company PGL has launched Adventure Days for families at eight of its centres in Britain, including Marchants Hill in Surrey, Liddington in Wiltshire, Boreatton Park in Shropshire, Caythorpe Court in Lincolnshire and Dalguise in Perthshire.
Families will need to organise a group of at least eight people (adults and children), with the minimum age being six. Up to four activities, such as abseiling, high-ropes challenges, zip-wire thrills, kayaking, archery and fencing, will be enjoyed on a typical day.
Says PGL's Steve Hougham, "Our new Adventure Days are ideal for a Saturday or Sunday fun day in term time, or a family treat in the middle of half term, or the summer holidays. An Adventure Day is the perfect way to celebrate a family birthday, as a 'dads and lads' bonding day or - equally ]- a fun day out for mothers and daughters. Families come in all shapes and sizes: this would be an amazing day for active grandparents to have fun with their adult kids and grandchildren. It would be a sociable day out for three or four single parents and their kids, and in terms of value, we believe the cost compares favourably against a day at a major theme park."
A full day (typically 9am–5pm) costs £40pp including lunch. Half-days are also available.
