With sterling attaining a seven-year high against the Euro, parents stand to get more for their money when it comes to family holidays and breaks this summer, and throughout 2015.
Additionally, according to many experts, the pound will strengthen further in the months to come, potentially reducing the cost of family breaks even more; which will be welcome news to many parents travelling wit their children this summer.
The pound has risen 12.5% against the Euro in the past year, giving families heading for destinations on the Continent increased spending power. According to Travelex, those changing £500 will now get €655, compared with €585 this time last year.
Said Travelex’s David Swann: ‘It’s a great time for Brits to be planning their Easter trip or summer holiday as the increase in the pound’s strength will make a considerable difference to their budgets.’
