Major family holiday providers have increased their capacity in various Mediterranean resorts in order to accommodate customers wishing to cancel existing bookings to Tunisia in the light of recent attacks.
Thomson and First Choice are both offering free cancellations for those due to travel to Tunisia up to 9th July and free amendments for those due to travel up to and including 31st October.
Passengers can choose from 15 new flights from UK airports to destinations including mainland Spain, the Balearic Islands and and Cyprus. As well as being able to amend bookings free of charge, travellers on these new flights will receive a £50pp discount.
To amend a pre-booked Tunisia holiday, contact the TUI customer service centre (0800 009 3835/020 3636 1996) or visit a Thomson or First Choice retail shop. Until 6th July, calls can only be taken by those who have holidays booked to Tunisia for July. Customers travelling between August and October should visit their local Thomson retail shop or call from 6th July.
Thomas Cook is also allowing customers scheduled to travel to Tunisia up to 31st October to swap destinations, and to that end has taken on extra accommodation in Spain, Portugal, Bulgaria and Turkey. Customers wishing to amend bookings to Tunisia should call its dedicated helpline (01733 224536).
